The majority of this trail is flat hard packed dirt with the occasional sand pit. There are also a few nice flowy sections. While this may only show 8 miles the trail does continue on past Central.
You can enter from the east side of the Rio Grande via Poco Loco Road or from the Westside off of Shaw Road. Both sides of the river have their own unique qualities.
